Organizing Kid's Art Supplies

Are your kid's art supplies in disarray and taking over the entire house (so it seems)? Need a great solution? Turn a spare drawer into an art supply storage center. The drawer can be a dresser drawer, a cabinet drawer, or even a deep kitchen drawer. Find or purchase some small clear plastic containers (with lids) that will fit inside the drawers (measure first!) and then sort items into containers by kind (i.e. paints together, crayons together, etc...). What I love about this is that the containers are hidden, easily accessible, and portable! Also, it's a great way to teach your kids valuable organizing skills (it's never too soon to start!). Have them help you put the supplies back into their designated containers when finished using them. Make sure to label the containers to make it really easy for them.
